Do you Need Help? Have a Question?
Cindy Bennett- Owner and Head Coach
I started my active career at a young age in dance class. Sorry there is no video evidence and that also lasted for about a week. Quickly I found myself in soccer and that is where I found my passion. I played on several different teams through high school and ended up getting a college scholarship to play at Stony Brook University. While at Stony Brook I was invited in with our youth National teams for a brief stint.
While finishing up my playing career I started giving back to the game in a coaching position. I started with a couple youth teams on Long Island, got into coaching with in the Regional program. Then into College Coaching, first giving back to my Alma Mater, then at The University of Virginia, then Colby- Sawyer and Dartmouth and then to Plymouth State University.
That leads me to opening up Carpe Diem CrossFit in December 2012. Opening up the box has been a great experience. The number of amazing people that I have met and the amazing things they have accomplished is no small task. Our goal here is to make you into the athlete that you are looking to be. Don't let that word scare you, if you're not used to it. Enjoy the journey!

Evan Holbert- Coach
I was always involved in sports at a younger age. I was involved in baseball, football, basketball, skiing, golf, and earned multiple belts in Muay Thai and Japanese jiu-jitsu I always enjoyed the way they challenged me. As I aged with all these great activities I began to become more and more interested in how training can optimize performance in sport and recreational activities. I eventually went all in and decided I wanted to make a life and career in the exercise and sports performance community because I truly believe I can impact others in a positive way. I attended Temple University in Philadelphia, PA to pursue a degree in exercise physiology/sport science so I could begin my professional career to help athletes and the public. Learning about exercise sciences is something I enjoy because it allows me to understand what is happening on the most in depth level which helps yield maximum results in training. Education in my field is something I will always continue to seek and enjoy for the rest of my life. I was always told by my parents to love what you do and do what you love, for me this is it.
